60g French’s Mustard + extra to serve 
4 sub rolls
4 Sirloin steaks
2 onions
1 green pepper
150g Provolone cheese
Vegetable Oil

Preparation Method

  • Heat your oven to 180°C
  • Carve your sub rolls into 3 sections horizontally, then trim the edge so that they resemble mini subs
  • Thinly slice your onions and peppers, then thinly slice your steaks and place the strips in a bowl
  • Squirt your French’s Mustard into the bowl and sprinkle in a good pinch of salt and pepper. Toss it all together so it all combines
  • Heat a frying pan over a high heat with a little oil. Add your steak and fry for a few minutes until tender and caramelised. Remove from the pan
  • Add your onions and peppers to the same pan and turn down the heat to medium. Fry for 10 minutes until soft and caramelised 
  • Load your mini sub rolls into a baking dish. Stuff each with your steak strips, onion and peppers. Top with provolone and then cover the dish with foil. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until your cheese has melted
  • Place your rolls on your chosen serving plate and garnish with an extra squirt of French’s Mustard. Serve whilst still hot!
